This Is A Bust
They've barely been gone three months but record bosses want to find the next Busted. The band's old label have placed an advert in Kerrang! magazine for a "new pop-punk band." They are auditioning singers, guitarists, drummers and bassits who can write songs and are 16 to 24. An insider at Universal told me: "We need to fill the gap Busted left. Mcfly are doing great but we want a bit more egde and attitude."
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Cuh, well to be honest - no-one will be able to replace Busted, so really it's just a lost cause.

i was reading NME yesterday and i saw that advert! I don't get why they want to replace Busted....mind you, underneath the advert it says (eg.Blink 182, Green day). Im surprised they didn't write busted as an example.

It's by T-Force management, and on their books they've had Steps and many other countless pop monkeys They probably wont do very well, the only good ones right now really to come from it are Busted & Mcfly. You could say Rooster but they're not really pop imo. still Universal could be singing goodf bands, but noooooooo fcking nooo. grrr

got to think of it form the Record Companys POV, Busted and Mcfly made/make alot of money, so they are going to want to emulate that as many times as they can.

Always about the money. Well that is their aim. To make the next success story.
The Busted equation worked so d**n well, there's no doubting why they think it'll work again.
You cannot replace a band, that's ridiculous and the fans wouldnt accept it. But they can find a decent band who are themselves and not being packaged off into the industry as the next 'Busted'. They'll be doomed from day dot.
