Well.
How do I start. First to mention this has been a highly anticipated Film. And now, is showing to be a huge success at the box office! If you haven't seen it yet, then what are you waiting for? It's, in my opinion, probably one of the best film's we'll see this year.
With Burton behind the film, Elfman doing the music score and Depp leading the film. What could possibly be better? As most Burton fans are aware, you cannot go wrong with this combination.
Depp, playing Mr. Willy Wonka, did the most amazing job of pulling the character off. Just like what fans of the Dahl book would be happy to hear. One cannot begin to compare to the first film done, it wouldn't be fair. Because this new film is too amazing and wonderful beyond words.
The set is truly magnificent. The colours and bright freshness is overwhelming, it makes you almost gasp at the beauty, and how badly do you want to go round eating that room made of candy? That river, talk about tasty tasty!
The music, as I expected, was bludy brilliant. I wasnt expecting any less, come on, Elfman was behind it! It pulled at our emotions, and made us laugh. With the witty lyrics of the Oompa Loompa's! The score, just took you into the whole world of it.
The Oompa Loompa's, were very believable. You could just imagine walking into one on the street. We have many questions answered about them too as the film takes time to show how they came to be in Wonka's factory. They are also rather humorous, with their dancing, and Wonka bobbing along to it!
Charlie Bucket, was played by an amazing little boy, whom you just wanted to pick up and cuddle. There was a certain quality about the whole Bucket Family. The grandparents being rather funny.
The other children, were so true to the book, they were great! And if you are like me, you wanted to strangle them all at more than one point in the film.
There is a lot of adult humour, and dark humour. Making you laugh out loud in the middle of the cinema ;D. I am not doing the film any justice by what i write, because i cannot begin to tell you how good it is. You have to see it for yourself.
Being a Burton fan, I was shaky before it, and totally overwhelmed at the end of it. I didn't know what to do. The film was nothing less than i had hoped, but a hell of a lot more.
GO SEE IT.
You have to. It is truly magnificent, wonderful, amazing, brilliant.
