EX-BUSTED star James Bourne invited The Sun Online down to his studio last night to see his new band Son Of Dork perform an intimate mini-set.
The singer put the punk pop band together after Busted split in January and told us that they are inspired by American acts Blink 182 and Green Day.
That was evident to see in an energetic, and very American sounding, performance featuring Eddie's Song, Slacker and debut single Ticket Outta Loserville.
The highlight of the night was catchy tune Slacker – although James revealed it will only be released as a B-side on their first single.
James said: "Yes unfortunately Slacker will just be a B-side. I'm not sure why really.
"I was very nervous about the set today but it was OK. We are all very excited about the release of the single.
"It comes out on the same day as Madonna so it is a tough week to enter."
James' former Busted bandmate Matt Jay was also present to support the lads - co-frontman and bassist Steve Rushton, guitarists Chris Leonard and David Williams and drummer Danny Hall.
Matt, who has also formed a new group, told us: "These guys rock!"
A new group?... I think they got that wrong
We can also reveal that there is a secret track hidden on the album Welcome To Loserville.
To find out more about the album and the band - make sure you ask the boys a question in our exclusive webchat next week.
Send your questions in to us at webchats@the-sun.co.uk by Monday October 31.
Please mark your emails SON OF DORK and include your name and where you are from.
Son Of Dork's debut single Ticket Outta Loserville is out on November 7.
