I did this quickly, only rough outline...
Just to make it clear, Charlie was laughing through most of this. Dan looked like he had been hit with a wet fish. Great interview though ;D. I don't think Dan gets Simon's humour. Well, he does live in a box...
Simon: Fightstar, Welcome to the show.
Charlie: Thankyou very much.
Simon: Lovely to have you here. Obviously, er, you know, there's still some anger, still some issues from us, because of the whole Busted Departure. You know, I feel like, Er I could hit you during this interview. I could. I'm going to try not too.
Charlie: Feel free, Mate. *slightly smiling, hand on cheek*
Simon: No I think we should do what we discussed, act like er, an adult.
Miquita: Yeah, Exactly.
Simon: Lovely to meet you Dan.
Dan: Simon.
Simon: Does Charlie ever talk about us?
Dan: No, he doesn't actually.
Charlie: I think about you though.
Simon: We had good times though didn't we.
Charlie: We did have some good times.
Simon: Well why didn't you ever say, 'Well, here, have a look at a tape Dan. Look, they came round my house and we played some games.' Why don't you ever...
Charlie: Don't know.
Dan: You know, I really want to, I do, want to see that.
Miquita: Are we being sincere because... they were good times.
Simon: So, what were the things in the popworld that you really didn't like? Was it bumping into girls aloud? Was it, James face? I guess that could be quite grating (?) at points. What was it?
Charlie: No it wasn't. It was like, it was just a general, it all came down to music at the end of the day, you know, I'm not a big fan of the whole celebrity lifestyle anyway, so, it's not really my thing. So that became quite grating but erm, musics a very passionate thing to be doing, so unless you're totally happy with it then...
Miquita: What's the point...
Charlie: Yeah, Exactly!
Simon: But you liked us?
Charlie: I like you. You were the one thing I thought, yeah their nice. *winks*
Simon: Really?
Charlie: Yeah.
Simon: Ok, so we weren't part of the...
Charlie: You weren't, no. I didn't think at all, it's because of Simon or Miquita, I just can't stand them.
Simon: Ok. Would you say more than anything that it was, it was CD:UK, that made you think, never again?
Charlie: No. I'd say it was a few different issues there.
Miquita: Probably Top Of The Pops.
Simon: Top of the Pops. *nodding*. Fearne Cotton.
Miquita: How do you know eachother?
Charlie: It goes back to my girlfriend, she moved in with Al, who's obviously our guitarist. Then me and Al moved in together, he (dan) knew Al from school...
Dan: When I met him (charlie) he, you know, got in the car, he had the machine Ad *something stupid* cd's on and I thought, this guy can't be too bad. So we kind of got off straight away.
Simon: Are you suggesting that you didn't like Busted?
Dan: *pensieve*.... yes.
Simon: What about, Who's David?
Dan: Who's David?
Simon: *shocked* Who's David?
Charlie: I don't even f**king know who he is.
Simon: Who's David? Don't pretend you don't know where you've come from, Simpson. It's on DVD.
Charlie: I don't really think about it anymore.
Miquita: We've all moved on Simon.
Simon: Sorry.
Charlie: Yes, Get over it (sarcastically).
Simon: Dan. Charlie obviously left a previous band to join this band. Do you feel, you know, you can't trust him now? He could go off, join a reggae band? You don't know.
Dan: As long as the stuff that he's putting in his cd player sounds vaguely like the stuff we're writing then I think we're safe really.
Miquita: This is for keeps?
Charlie: Yep, Definitely.
Dan: For keeps.
*video for Waste a moment*
Simon: Well, it's not Crashed The Wedding, but it's er...
Miquita: There's alot of screaming in the song.
Charlie: Yup.
Miquita: It's a, sounds a little bit like SilverChair.
Charlie: YES, Like aged l... my favourite, my second favourite single of all time.
Miquita: Well yeah.
*Talk about covering Isabelles Song, couldn't quite catch it ;D.*
Simon: *butts in* He's with Natalie Imbruglia.
Miquita: There you go.
Simon: She sang Torn. I'm part of it, I'm part of it.
Miquita: You're in.
Simon: How have the rock community er, *holds arms out*... What's the right word?
Miquita: Taken...
Charlie: Embraced.
Miquita: ...Embraced Fightstar?
Charlie: The transition in the last year has been amazing. Because now, you know, the demographic of our shows is the same as Funeral For A Friend, which is grate for us, because at the beginning, it wasn't like that, alot was young teenage girls.
Simon: It's difficult to make any sort of genre switchover... I don't know whoelse has made the pop to rock thing. Brian Mcfadden, do you think you could be the new Brian Mcfadden?
Miquita: Dan.
Dan: *looks unimpressed* Who's Brian Mcfadden?
Simon: Who's Brian Mcfadden? Do you live in a box? What's a matter with you?
Dan: I think maybe just a different box to you, man.
Miquita: Very different box.
Simon: A little cardboard one.
Dan: Has windows.
Charlie: Little Street side.
Miquita: Well, I'm glad we had this talk.
Charlie: Thankyou for having us.
Miquita: Of course, we've all been able to move on and...
Charlie: Clear things up.
Miquita: How are you? *looks at Simon*
Simon: I could still punch him and I haven't warmed to Dan. I think you should both watch your backs but I feel good.
Miquita: Fightstar, thankyou very much.
Charlie: Thankyou very much.
Simon: Cheers guys. Rock onnnn.
