Subject: co springs
I guess it's about d**n time I post about this show, nearly a week later, eh? Sorry about that, y'all. I got home on Tuesday, and it's just been non stop since then. Forgive me?
Anyway, Colorado Springs. The most random place in the world to have a Busted show. The venue was awful. I can't even begin to describe how horrified Sarah and I were when we arrived. We were expecting an amusement park, at the very least. Maybe not Six Flags or something, but not what we found. Go here:

imagine how shocked the boys were.
So, we showed up fairly early and scouted out the venue. The so called amphitheatre was tiny, the stage was barely a foot off the ground. It was such a joke. As it turned out, it stormed, so they moved the show indoors to the "birthday party pavillion". I kid you not. A tiny little party room with balloons painted on the walls, no stage, they were set up on the floor. We had to laugh, we couldn't cry, honestly. So, we went and lked to the radio station people for a bit and discovered the source of the problem - they had absolutely no idea who they were dealing with. They had no idea Busted was so famous in the UK. I guess they didn't do any research or whatever, but they really didn't know. I think they were probably pretty embarassed when it sunk in.
The boys showed up about two hours before they were due to go on. We saw Matt first, and had a bit of a chat. He was laughing at the arcade at first, but he was NOT happy when he finally got a look at the pavillion. I later heard him telling Fletch he felt "like a f**king fool". Charlie was also really upset, understandably so, it just have been humiliating.
On a more positive note, the boys seemed really pleased to see American fans and they're having a super time in the US. James told us they're going to be going to Dallas (which is where they were headed next, so they're either done there, or are there now), Louisiana (though he didn't know where, he didn't think it was New Orleans) and Seattle this time around, then LA, Miami, and NYC again in October. The main bit of gossip James told us was that they're trying to book them in for an actual gig at a place called "the Whiskey" in LA, so all you California people, keep an ear out for that in October. I think this is it, but I could be wrong:

The show itself was excellent, of course. Even though the venue was nutse, the boys pulled it together and had a brilliant (if somewhat short) performance. They did Air Hostess, Crashed the Wedding, Who's David, and WIGTSF. There were about 40 fans there, ltogether, so it was really small, but there was alot of energy and everyone enjoyed themselves. I've attached pics, please forgive my crappy photography skills.
On the promotional side, I passed out posters and postcards and talked up the street team to whomever would listen. Dunno if anyone joined as a result hough. ;p We had lovely chats with all the boys, as well as Damon (it's all about the Damon love, baby) and Adam. Everyone was really sweet and friendly and they're just thrilled to bits to actually have American fans.
That's about it, guys! The boys send their love, and thank everyone for their support and all of the promoting they've been doing. It's totally helping, so keep at it!
