Read this about last weeks sales for Busted's US debut album.... Although Busted got plenty of US exposure from the use of their Thunderbirds Are Go song in the recent film, their career in America has yet to take off. Introductory single What I Go To School For has sold just 4,077 copies in 23 weeks and can be picked up for as little as 96 cents, while their self-titled US debut album - which includes all eight of their UK hits to date - was released last week and logged first week sales of 2,387, far short of the Top 200's qualifying tally of 5,748. plenty of exposure? yeah right. no one even went to see thunderbirds it bombed here. their management is doing a real sucky job promoting them here. the US is 50 times bigger than the UK it takes awhile to get a big enough fan base for you to actually get somewhere. as for their show that was a good idea but it airing on MTV2 is bull crap. NO ONE watches MTV2 and half the country doesn't even get the channel. i feel really bad for them cuz i think they do have what it takes to be huge here it's just the dang management obviously doesn't know what they're doing. i say us fans take over their job.
